Your data, plainly explained

In short: we collect what we need to personalise your skincare routine and track your
progress, we never sell your data, and photos of your face are only stored when you choose to use the
Photo Timeline — never from the quiz or Product Scanner.

What we collect
- Account details — your email address and password, used to sign you in.
- Quiz answers — your age range, skin type, concerns and routine preferences, used to build your personalised recommendations and Glow Score.
- Daily check-ins and skin journal entries — the notes and check-ins you choose to save in your Pro Dashboard.
- Progress photos — photos you upload to your Photo Timeline (Pro feature only). See "Photos" below for how these are handled.
- Product scan history — barcodes, ingredient lists and match results from the Product Scanner (Pro feature only).
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. Globuzzskin never sees or stores your card details.
Photos — what's stored and what isn't
We treat photos differently depending on what you're using:
- Quiz selfie: analyzed instantly by our AI to assess your skin, then discarded. It is never stored.
- Product Scanner ingredient photos: only the ingredient text is read and analyzed. The photo itself is never stored.
- Photo Timeline (Pro Dashboard): these photos are stored, because the entire point is to build a before-and-after record over time. We recommend one photo a day, in the same spot and lighting, so the comparison is meaningful. If you upload more than one in a day, the newer one replaces that day's photo.
How long we keep your data
We keep your account data and Photo Timeline images for as long as your account is active — deleting them
early would defeat the purpose of tracking your progress over months. If you cancel or delete your account, we
remove your progress photos and personal data within 90 days, aside from records we're legally required to
keep (for example, payment records via Stripe). You can delete an individual photo from your timeline at any
time, or request full account deletion by emailing us.
Who we share data with
We don't sell your data. To run the app, we use a small number of trusted service providers who process
data on our behalf:
- Supabase — hosts our database, authentication and photo storage.
- Anthropic (Claude) — analyzes selfies and ingredient photos to generate your skin insights. Photos sent for analysis are not retained by us afterward.
- Stripe — processes Pro subscription payments.
- Netlify — hosts the website itself.
Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your data at any time. To request a copy of your data or full account
deletion, email Globuzzskin@gmail.com and we'll action it promptly.
Age
Globuzzskin's quiz is designed to be appropriate for teen and adult skin alike, and asks your age range up
front so recommendations are age-appropriate. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without
appropriate consent, please contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
